ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s daily case count remained below 1,000 for the third consecutive day on Tuesday morning, despite a steady reduction in new COVID-19 instances throughout the country, according to data from the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).
During the last 24 hours, the national COVID-19 agency stated it completed 37,566 coronavirus diagnostic tests, with only 861 coming back positive.
The new cases brought Pakistan’s COVID-19 positive rate to 2.29 percent, with 1,510,221 cases total.
Meanwhile, after reducing to only five deaths Monday morning, the daily death toll rose to 18 in a single day.
The latest deaths brought the overall number of coronavirus deaths in the country to 30,196.
Furthermore, 489 patients who had COVID-19 recovered overnight, bringing the total number of active cases to 37,087. 988 people, on the other hand, remain in critical care units.
