The opposition is having a flurry of meetings in order to devise a strategy to unseat the current PTI government. A meeting between PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari and PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif will take place later today (Tuesday).
Former President Asif Ali Zardari will hold a dinner at Bilawal House in Lahore in honor of Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz, according to reports. They’ll talk about everything that’s going on in the country, including the no-confidence move against Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Shehbaz will tell PDM Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on his meeting. Other PML-N leaders, in addition to Shehbaz, have been invited to Zardari’s dinner.
Former President Asif Ali Zardari met with the leader of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), Maulana Fazlur Rehman, at his residence on Monday to discuss the numbers game surrounding the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Both leaders vowed to give the government a hard time by keeping in touch with legislators.
Zardari came at Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s residence in Islamabad, where he was cordially welcomed by Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Akram Khan Durrani, and Maulana Asad Mahmood. They discussed deliberations on the vote of no confidence as well as interactions with allies throughout the meeting.
Zardari stated in a statement released after the meeting that no-trust preparations were complete and that government members were in contact with the opposition.
Zardari claimed that the ruling party’s allies were also fed up with the administration and that the public’s attention was now focused on the opposition.
During the meeting, Maulana Fazl stated that the elected government had lost the people’s faith and that the opposition would move this time after gaining the confidence of all parties.
