Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar has hinted at a positive turn for the nation’s economy in the coming weeks, revealing plans to sign Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) for billion-dollar projects with Kuwait, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and other countries.

In an exclusive interview with a private TV channel, Kakar commended the role of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) in maintaining economic policy consistency.

The Prime Minister lauded the SIFC’s successful negotiation of agreements with various nations to secure investments across multiple sectors, asserting that these initiatives are indicative of the country’s economic stability.

Addressing concerns about illegal cross-border activities, Kakar declared triumph in halting the smuggling of dollars and other goods, attributing the success to the collaborative efforts of the caretaker government and state support.

He further assured continued efforts to combat such illicit activities in the future.

Shifting focus to the political landscape, Prime Minister Kakar disclosed that general elections are slated for February 8 next year, with the Election Commission of Pakistan actively preparing for the event.

Ensuring transparency in the electoral process, Kakar stated that there are no restrictions on any political party for organizing election-related activities.
