Imran Khan’s physician Dr Faisal rejects PTI’s slow poisoning claim in jail. Amid mounting concerns regarding the health and safety of Imran Khan, Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), his personal physician, Dr. Faisal Sultan, addressed the speculation of “slow poisoning” during Khan’s custody.
Dr. Sultan, speaking to journalists outside Adiala jail, where he met Khan, stated that there were no visible signs indicating the former Prime Minister’s poisoning. He affirmed that Khan appeared in good health during their meeting.
This development comes in the midst of Imran Khan’s denial of involvement in the May 9 violent riots.
During a meeting with a joint investigation team (JIT) led by SSP (Operations) Rawalpindi Faisal Saleem, Khan stated that he was incarcerated when the incident occurred, refuting any participation in the unrest.
Imran Khan’s legal journey has been marked by complexities. Initially, he faced imprisonment following a court’s three-year sentence in the Toshakhana case related to the sale of state gifts received during his tenure as Prime Minister.

However, this sentence was overturned by the Islamabad High Court. Subsequently, Khan was arrested in the cipher case and remains detained in Adiala jail.

She voiced apprehensions about possible poisoning while Khan was held in Attock jail, urging authorities to adhere to the court’s directive to transfer him to Adiala jail in Rawalpindi.
This situation has attracted significant attention, drawing focus to Khan’s health, legal circumstances, and the anxieties expressed by his family amidst his ongoing imprisonment.
