PPP criticizes PML-N’s political relief. In a recent statement, Nayyer Bukhari, the Secretary General of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), criticized the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nawaz Sharif for what he termed as unwarranted political relief throughout Sharif’s extensive political career.

Sharif, who returned to Pakistan after a self-imposed exile, has notably received legal relief in several cases, including Avenfield, Al-Azizia, and Toshakhana.

Speaking on Geo News’ program “Naya Pakistan,” Bukhari expressed concerns about the historical trend of the PML-N in securing favorable decisions.

He emphasized the necessity of a level playing field in the upcoming elections and called on the caretaker government to ensure impartiality.

The PPP leader pointed out the apparent facilitation being provided by the interim government, urging authorities to adhere to their constitutional responsibilities and avoid favoritism.

Bukhari reiterated the PPP’s stance against any unconstitutional measures and stressed that his party’s alliance with the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) was limited to coalition government. He affirmed that the PPP would contest elections independently in every constituency.

This criticism comes in the wake of similar sentiments expressed by other political figures, including former Prime Minister Imran Khan, who condemned the restoration of Nawaz Sharif’s appeals against conviction verdicts in the Avenfield and Al-Azizia cases by the Islamabad High Court.

The Punjab government had also suspended Nawaz Sharif’s conviction in these cases, fueling debates about fairness and justice in the country’s political landscape.

As PPP criticizes PML-N’s political relief, the statements from the PPP reflect growing concerns within the political spectrum about the integrity of the electoral process, with various parties calling for a transparent and unbiased election environment.

As the nation anticipates upcoming elections, the demand for fairness and impartiality continues to be a focal point in political discourse.
