Khan expressed his dismay over the return of Nawaz Sharif, the leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), from a four-year self-imposed exile in London. Sharif’s return was facilitated by protective bail in graft cases and suspended arrest warrants, enabling him to evade immediate detention.
Khan accused Sharif of executing a prearranged “agreement” made in London, criticizing the leniency shown in allowing a convicted criminal to re-enter politics without facing the consequences of his actions.
Sharif, a three-time former prime minister, had been sentenced to jail terms in corruption cases, including owning assets beyond known income and non-cooperation with anti-graft authorities.
The PTI chairman emphasized that the current state of affairs in Pakistan indicated a grave deterioration of the justice system, asserting that the existing legal cases against him were politically motivated and designed to incarcerate him unjustly.
Khan revealed his concerns about his personal safety, hinting at potential attempts on his life, and highlighted the need for continued political awareness and resistance against covert conspiracies.
Despite the disillusionment expressed, Khan called upon the citizens to persist in their struggle for justice and democracy.

In a recent turn of events, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) reinstated Nawaz Sharif’s appeals against convictions in the Avenfield and Al-Azizia cases, reviving his efforts to overturn the sentences.
Furthermore, Sharif’s bail in these cases was extended until October 26, with no objections from the anti-graft watchdog.
The Punjab government also approved the suspension of his sentence in the Al-Azizia reference, granting him temporary relief from incarceration.
