ISLAMABAD: While chairing a meeting on Roshan Digital Accounts in Islamabad on Friday, Prime Minister Imran Khan remarked that the government was taking extraordinary measures to assist foreign Pakistanis.
“Overseas Pakistanis are our most valuable asset,” Prime Minister remarked, adding that the government is taking “unprecedented actions” to help them.
The Prime Minister stated that the administration seeks to speed measures such as granting abroad Pakistanis voting rights and online issue of power of attorney and inheritance certificates. These initiatives are thought to have far-reaching implications for expatriate welfare and convenience.
Roshan Digital Accounts have so far received remittances totaling over $3 billion, according to the prime minister.
Imran Khan has asked the State Bank of Pakistan to provide real-time internet facilitation to foreign Pakistanis who want to donate money to their homeland.
He also told the relevant authorities to start a successful marketing effort to persuade foreign Pakistanis to utilise Roshan Digital Accounts.
