Maryam Nawaz’s son Junaid Safdar confirms divorce.
Junaid Safdar, the son of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Vice President and Chief Organiser Maryam Nawaz, acknowledged Thursday that he and his wife had divorced more than two years after they married.
“News about my divorce is true,” Safdar remarked in an Instagram story.
The couple married in August 2021, with ceremonies in both London and Pakistan, because PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif was in London in self-exile at the time.
During their relationship, the couple avoided the media limelight.
“This is an entirely private matter and I request the media to respect our privacy,” the politician’s son said in the story.
