PM visits Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme project site

Prime Minister Imran Khan paid a surprise visit to Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme’s under-construction apartments in Islamabad’s G-13 area on Friday.

PM Imran visited the project site without any protocol or security, according to the report, and his staff and other authorities involved were unaware of his visit.

According to the sources, PM Imran conducted a surprise visit after receiving concerns about the project’s poor progress. He assessed the status of the ongoing project and directed that it be completed as soon as possible.

The Naya Pakistan housing scheme aims to provide people with inexpensive houses.

In April of last year, the Prime Minister lay the foundation stone for a housing programme in Islamabad, as part of his government’s aim of assisting the country’s poor in purchasing homes.

The premier said at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Farash Town apartments, which are part of the Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme, that the project will provide housing for roughly 2,000 people.

“We want to have these residences constructed within the two-year time frame,” he continued.

As part of the Naya Pakisan Housing Scheme, the premier also launched a labourers’ complex in the federal capital in March.
