Police plan to seize PTI leaders’ properties over May 9 violence. Police have sought information on the properties owned by PTI leaders who have been declared absconders in connection with the May 9 rioting prompted by the arrest of party chairman Imran Khan in a corruption case.
According to reports, the police have issued letters to the commissioner of Lahore, the governor of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), and the chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) requesting details on the properties in order to begin the process of seizing them.
Furthermore, the police have petitioned courts for authorization to seize the properties of the fugitive PTI officials under Section 87 of the CRPC.
The PTI chief’s sisters Haleema Khan and Uzma Khan, Mian Aslam Iqbal, Hammad Azhar, Farrukh Habib, Zubair Niazi, Imtiaz Sheikh, Hafiz Farhat, Andleeb Abbas, Khalid Gujjar, Karamat Ali Khokar, and others’ properties have been sought by officials.
As Police plan to seize PTI leaders’ properties over May 9 violence, the investigative team has labelled the PTI leaders absconders for failing to cooperate with the probe.

Earlier, Major General Ahmed Sharif, the spokesperson for the Pakistani Army, reported that three high-ranking officials, including a lieutenant general, had been discharged from their positions for failing to guard military installations and garrisons on May 9 during protests.
The army has finished its accountability process following the chaos of May 9, according to the director general of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), who also announced that disciplinary action had been taken against 15 officers, including three major generals and seven brigadiers.
Following the arrest of PTI Chairman Imran Khan in the Al-Qadir Trust case on May 9, PTI protesters damaged public properties and attacked military installations, including the home of the Lahore Corps Commander.
