During his travels to the Barthi and Sallari villages in the Koh-e-Suleman region of Dera Ghazi Khan division, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar inaugurated a variety of development projects.
The CM laid the foundation stone for a bridge on Nullah Sunghar and the Rs682 million road rehabilitation from Zain to Barthi. He dedicated the Rs60 million upgrade and construction of the Barthi graveyard’s boundary wall.
He also unveiled the Rs323 million Barthi tehsil headquarters upgrade project.
Under the Koh-e-Suleman Development Project, the Chief Minister lay the foundation stone for eight developments. In Taunsa Sharif, a tehsil complex would cost Rs120 million, and a school of excellence in Barthi will cost Rs2.18 million, in addition to a multipurpose hall and a model dairy farm.
The Chief Minister lay the foundation stone for the construction and restoration of 22 connecting roads with a total length of 132 kilometres and a cost of Rs2.13 billion, as well as a mini-dam.
He was informed on a road development project in Balochistan that runs from Chokiwala on the N-55 highway to Chappar on the N-70 highway.
The Chief Minister lay the foundation stone for a Rs8.93 billion road building and expansion project spanning 122 kilometres.
He stated at the time that he was working to alleviate the difficulties of backward areas that were being targeted for development after previously being denied of facilities.
