On Sunday, Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan invited people to participate in a “international campaign to raise awareness about the humanitarian catastrophe” in Afghanistan, which has left millions of Afghans at risk of hunger.
I will add my voice also and want people to join an international initiative to raise awareness about the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Afghanistan, putting at risk of starvation millions of Afghans, especially children. #SaveAfghanLives pic.twitter.com/HFrsAOfZSm

“I will add my voice also and want people to join an international initiative to raise awareness about the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Afghanistan, putting at risk of starvation millions of Afghans, especially children,” said Imran using #SaveAfghanLives with his tweet.
Imran had backed former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown’s demand for an international donor conference to aid Afghans the day before. He had stated that providing immediate humanitarian support to millions of Afghans who were in imminent danger of famine during the current winter was a worldwide commitment.
The prime minister also reminded the world in his tweet that under the widely agreed UN Principle of Responsibility to Protect, sending immediate help to poor Afghanistan is also mandatory (R2P).
