Non-bailable arrest warrants for Imran in judge threat case issued

Imran Khan, the chairman of the PTI and a former prime minister, was issued non-bailable arrest warrants on Monday by a local court in Islamabad in connection with making threats against a female judge.

Imran Khan’s request for an exemption from appearing in court was denied by Judge Mujahid Rahim, who also issued non-bailable arrest warrants for him.

The court ordered Margalla Police Station to present Imran Khan at the subsequent hearing and postponed the hearing until March 29.

Imran Ahmed Khan Niazi is a Pakistani politician and former cricket captain who served as the 22nd Prime Minister of Pakistan from August 2018 until April 2022, when he was ousted through a no-confidence motion in the National Assembly. He is the founder and chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.

On the other hand, Chairman PTI Imran Khan wished Xi Jinping on securing a third consecutive term as president. “Heartiest congratulations to President Xi Jinping on his re-election for a third term as China’s President,” he wrote on his Twitter handle.
