12 TTP militants killed in Lakki Marwat: ISPR

The military’s media wing reported on Wednesday that security forces killed 12 TTP militants during an intelligence-based operation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Lakki Marwat region.

An Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement claims that late on Tuesday night, security personnel and terrorists engaged in gunfire during which the militants were killed.

“Terrorists’ movements and activities were being watched by intelligence tentacles for the last week. Terrorists were lured in by providing a vehicle for escape that was intercepted and neutralized,” the ISPR said as 12 TTP militants were killed.

Weapons, ammunition, and Afghan currency were also recovered from the terrorists during the operation, it stated, adding that security forces were carrying out a clearance operation in the area.
