The Election Commission of Pakistan has announced the holding of by-elections on 33 National Assembly seats vacated by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawmakers on March 16.
The ECP has also released a schedule of the by-elections according to which nomination papers will be filed from February 6 to February 8.
Scrutiny of the nomination papers will be done on 9th February. Candidates will be allotted electoral symbols on February 23 by the ECP. Polling will be held on March 16.
By-elections will be held on nine National Assembly seats in Karachi, five in Rawalpindi, three in Islamabad, two in Multan, and the same number of seats in Lahore.
By-elections will also be held in eight National Assembly constituencies of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
