ISLAMABAD: According to a report a meeting between Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is scheduled for tomorrow (Monday).
During the forthcoming National Assembly session, a meeting between the chiefs of both parties is anticipated to take place in Parliament House, according to sources.
The discussion will cover a wide range of topics, including the mini-budget, anti-government rallies, and the country’s broader political condition.
The federal government has planned to convene the National Assembly on January 10 in order to pass the Finance Amendment Bill 2021, often known as the mini-budget, via the Lower House.
The National Assembly session has been convened on January 10 at 4:00 p.m., according to Adviser to the Prime Minister on Parliamentary Affairs Babar Awan.
“During the session, the Finance amendment bill will be tabled, as well as a discussion on ideas on the law proposed by the Senate,” he said, inviting the opposition to participate in the legislative process.
He claimed that engaging in sloganeering would not aid the opposition in enhancing the legislative process or in obstructing the government’s ability to pass the law.
“On the legislative process, our doors are open for talks with the opposition,” he stated.
The federal government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) tabled Finance (Supplementary) Bill 2021 — or the mini-budget — before the National Assembly for approval on December 30.
