Government commits to transforming Pakistan into a welfare state. Local news media reported that Prime Minister Imran Khan stated on Friday that the administration is committed to developing Pakistan into a welfare state.

He stated that Rs400 billion would be invested to provide health services to 30 million families, adding that only time will tell where the health card will lead the country.

Punjabis will now be able to receive medical care of up to Rs1 million at hospitals, according to Prime Minister Imran Khan.

PM Imran stated that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf administration is granting loans to low-income earners for the first time in the country’s history so that they can build their homes. The low-income housing scheme has so far awarded loans of Rs34 billion.

The premier went on to say that the country’s growth begins at the grassroots level and that by March 2022, all Punjabi households will have a health card.

Prime Minister Imran Khan had arrived in Lahore earlier in the day for a day-long visit. Later, the PM will meet with Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar and Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar in separate talks.

Prime Minister Khan will be briefed on the preparations for the Punjab Local Bodies elections by Chief Minister Usman Buzdar. The premier will also be informed of the province’s law and order situation.
