NCOC to decide on winter vacation tomorrow

The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) meeting on Wednesday will provide approval for the winter breaks, which will be held under the chairmanship of the Education Secretary.

During the winter vacations, the Ministry of Health and the Provincial Ministers of Education met for talks, according to sources.

According to sources, one option was that educational institutions take a 15-day winter break from December 20 to January 5.

All provinces except Sindh have agreed to take a break from December 25 to January 5, according to sources, although Sindh will raise the issue of winter holiday at the provincial steering committee.

In the meantime, the Punjab School Education Department has suggested ten days of winter vacation.

It’s worth noting that NCOC Chairman Asad Umar, rather than Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood, will make the final announcement tomorrow.

On the other hand, instructions have been issued to close all educational institutions in Rawalpindi in honour of the visit of OIC foreign ministers.

On December 18, all public and private institutions in Rawalpindi City will be closed. The Cantonment Board’s educational institutions will remain open, according to a statement from the district administration.
