Sindh Bar Council Secretary killing: Police suspect wife played major role in murder

The Sindh Bar Council (SBC) secretary Irfan Mahar’s killing was allegedly planned by his wife, according to the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Karachi.

According to sources familiar with the situation, CTD Karachi detained the victim’s brother-in-law Akbar Mahar, as well as accomplices Rahim Bux Mahar, Wajid Jakhro, and two other Mangi and Lashari caste members.

According to the article, Mahar’s brother-in-law is the prime suspect in the murder, and his wife, Sahibzadi, is suspected of playing a crucial role in the assassination of her husband. The wife has yet to be apprehended.

Sahibzadi planned to take control of Mahar’s properties, according to an early probe. When the victim donated some of them to his brothers, Sahibzadi conspired with her brother, Akbar Mahar, to assassinate him.

According to sources, the police have also apprehended Additional Secretary Parvez Memon of the Sindh Bar Council in connection with the same issue.

According to authorities, Akbar Mahar murdered his brother-in-law Irfan Mahar with the help of his relative, Rahim Bux Mahar, and other acquaintances, including Wajid Jakhro.

The murder weapon, a 30-bore pistol, the motorbike used to slay Mahar, the suspects’ helmets, and the records of Akbar Mahar and his aides sleeping in a Karachi hotel have all been seized, according to police.

The suspects’ Call Data Record (CDR) has also been received by the authorities.

In Karachi, the secretary of the SBC was assassinated.

SBC secretary Irfan Ali Mahar was slain in a gun attack outside his home in Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Jauhar neighborhood earlier this month.

The event occurred in Block 13 of Gulistan-e-Jauhar. Mahar died on the route to the hospital while being transported.

According to the police, the suspect fired several bullets at Mahar in a row before fleeing.

Mahr, 45, had returned to Block 13 in his car to drop his daughter off at school, according to lawyer Naeem Qureshi. However, while he was seated in his car, two men on a motorcycle fired bullets at him.

Closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera footage of the lawyer’s shooting in Gulistan-e-Jauhar had been provided to the police. The suspects are seen wearing helmets in the video. One of them is seen firing a weapon at an automobile.
