Shaukat Tarin’s leaked voice call in the midst of IMF deal

PTI leader Shaukat Tarin has been allegedly asking Punjab Finance Minister Mohsin Leghari for withdrawing from the International Monetary Fund’s deal, just two days after the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government backtracked from it.
As KP and Punjab, provinces are under the control of PTI. Various instances were observed where the federation alongside provinces had differences and it all when Imran Khan was ousted through the motion of no confidence.
The leaked audio is circulating on social media and televisions exactly on the day when the international lender’s executive board has scheduled to meet for the purpose of considering Pakistan’s request of releasing the amount of $1.2 billion tranche under the aspect of Extended Fund Facility (EFF).
As Shaukat Tarin in the leaked voice call can be heard asking Leghari to tell the lender team that the commitment of asking such an amount that Punjab made was pre-flood and now the province currently cannot honor it owing to the devastations of the flood.

As Shaukat Tarin was asked by Leghari whether Pakistan would suffer if Punjab which is the largest province of Pakistan withdraws from the intended deal? In response to this question, Tarin replied yes to some extent. He justified this statement in such a way that the state is already suffering just the way they are treating Imran Khan and everyone else.
The political tussle has once again started at the start of this week which will pave the way for either political instability or its impact on the deal which is to be discussed today.
