Saudi Arabia awards Order of King Abdulaziz to Pakistan’s Army Chief

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, deputy premier and defence minister, awarded Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, the King Abdulaziz Medal of Excellent Class, in accordance with the direction of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.

This is in appreciation of General Bajwa’s notable achievements in reinforcing and strengthening friendship and collaborative collaboration, as well as developing Saudi-Pakistani relations, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

On Saturday, General Bajwa paid a visit to Saudi Arabia.

On Saturday, the Crown Prince met with General Bajwa in Jeddah, where they discussed bilateral relations, particularly military connections, and potential for development. They also talked about a few topics of mutual interest.

The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Defence Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Chief of General Staff Lieutenant-General Fayyad Al-Ruwaili, and a number of senior officials from both sides.

On Sunday morning, Saudi Arabian in Pakistan also announced the news via its Twitter account.

Another Saudi Embassy statement read, “Order of Shah Abdul Aziz for General Bajwa, Commander-in-Chief of the Pakistan Army: “The award recognises General Bajwa’s important efforts in building and deepening Saudi-Pakistani relations.”
