Khawaja Asif opposes any ban on Musharraf’s return to country

Fact-check: Is the pay of an MNA lower than a federal secretary’s?

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif said on Saturday that given General (r) Pervez Musharraf’s serious health condition in a Dubai hospital, there should be no bar to his return to Pakistan.

Khawaja said in a tweet that the events of the past should not prevent him from returning home.

“May he recover quickly and live out the rest of his life in dignity and peace,” he prayed.

The All Pakistan Muslim League (APML), which was founded by former Pakistan president Pervez Musharraf, dismissed reports of his death on Friday. According to APML, the ex-military ruler was returned to his home after spending three weeks in a Dubai hospital. It also denied reports that he was in critical condition or was on a ventilator.

It stated that the rumors about his death were false and urged the public to pray for his quick recovery. Musharraf is being treated for amyloidosis at home, according to the party, and his condition is stable.

Amyloidosis is a condition in which an abnormal protein builds up in organs and tissues, preventing them from functioning properly.

Musharraf’s family said he has not been put on a ventilator and has been admitted to the hospital due to a complication of his illness (amyloidosis). “Going through a difficult period in which recovery is impossible and organs are failing. Pray for him to be at ease in his daily activities “Added the statement.

It’s worth noting that the former Pakistani ruler has spent the last several years in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
