Shaniera and fans wish Waseem Akram ‘Happy Birthday’.
Shaniera, the wife of Pakistan’s legendary cricketer and former fast bowler Wasim Akram, has written a heartfelt birthday message for her husband on his 56th birthday.
Shaniera took to Twitter to share a photo of herself with Wasim Akram and wrote, “Happy 56th Birthday to my Sultan.” Love, health, and happiness to you. We’ll have everything if we have that!”
“Can’t wait to see you soon,” she added.
Wasim Akram is dubbed the “Sultan of Swing” for his deadly bowling and swinging toe-crushing yorkers.
He was born on June 3, 1966, and is widely regarded as one of the best left-handed fast bowlers of all time.
At the highest level, the veteran speedster has four hat tricks, two in Tests and two in One-Day Internationals (ODIs).
His ODI hat-tricks occurred in 1989 and 1990, both times in Sharjah. He took two hat-tricks in back-to-back Tests against Sri Lanka in 1999, helping Pakistan win the Asian Test Championship.
Many consider Akram to be the greatest left-arm fast bowler of all time.
He was the first man to reach the 500-wicket mark in one-day internationals during the 2003 World Cup.
In Test cricket, he has won 17 Man of the Match awards, which is tied for third-most.
