TikToker Dolly gets bail in Margalla Hills’ forest fire case

A district and sessions court in Islamabad granted Nausheen Saeed alias Dolly, a TikToker, interim bail in the Margalla Hills forest fire case in lieu of a Rs0.1 million surety bond until May 27.

The court also ordered the police to present the case record at the next hearing date.

On the occasion, counsel for TikToker argued that his client had been arrested in connection with an incident that occurred outside the jurisdiction of the federal capital.

He also stated that the fire seen in the TikTok video was burning before Dolly arrived to film it.

At Islamabad’s Kohsar Police Station, a case was filed against the TikTok.

The police were later barred from arresting her by the Lahore High Court (LHC).

On May 18, 2022, 24News reported that TikToker Dolly was facing harsh criticism after her video with the Margalla forest on fire in the background went viral on the social networking platform at a time when authorities in Islamabad were attempting to put out the fire.
