Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag has called the bowling action of former Pakistani pacer Shoaib Akhtar “illegal.”
Sehwag claimed on the Indian digital show “Home of Heroes” that Shoaib’s bowling motion is illegal and that he used to jerk his elbow while bowling.
Shoaib knows he used to jerk his elbow, and he also knew he was chucking, according to the Indian cricketer.
When asked about the similarities between Shoaib and former Australian fast bowler Brett Lee, the 43-year-old said Lee was easier to pick, but Akhtar’s arm was more difficult to evaluate.
“How could the ICC ban him otherwise?” Brett Lee’s hand landed straight, making it simple to pick the ball. But with Shoaib, you never know where the hand and ball will appear.
“I never feared facing Brett Lee, but I wasn’t sure what Shoaib would do if I hit him twice to the fence.” “Perhaps a beamer or a toe-crushing yorker,” he speculated.
The show’s episode will be released on May 19.
