Woman suicide bomber detained from Turbat

The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested an alleged woman suicide bomber—a member of the Balochistan Liberation Army Majeed Brigade—on Monday in Turbat for attempting to target Chinese nationals on the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) route.

CTD teams recovered detonators and explosives from the accused.

CTD stated that they have continued their raids and operations to apprehend the network of suicide bombers.

The women detained are members of the same Majeed Brigade as Sharri Baloch, a female suicide bomber who killed three Chinese nationals outside Karachi University.

Earlier, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari said on Saturday that the entire Pakistani nation stands in solidarity with the affected Chinese families and that those responsible for the Karachi University attack will not be forgiven.

The foreign minister was speaking at a condolence reference at the Foreign Office for the Chinese nationals killed in a suicide attack at KU’s Confucius Institute last month.
