TDCP Withdraws Lahore Sightseeing Bus Fare Hike After Fuel Price Cut

The Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP) has announced the withdrawal of the recent fare increase for its Lahore sightseeing bus service, offering relief to tourists and local visitors.

Officials said the decision was taken in light of the latest reduction in petroleum prices. Acting in the public interest, TDCP has cancelled the earlier notification that approved higher ticket rates and has restored the previous fares for the popular city tour service.

Official notification issued

According to TDCP authorities, an official circular has been issued with the approval of the Managing Director, formally reinstating the original ticket prices for the Lahore sightseeing buses.

All relevant departments have been instructed to implement the revised fares immediately across ticketing platforms and service points to ensure that tourists do not face confusion or inconvenience.

Boost to tourism and public relief

TDCP officials said the move reflects the corporation’s commitment to providing affordable recreational and tourism services while responding to changes in operational costs. By rolling back the fare hike, the authority aims to encourage greater participation in city tours and promote tourism in Lahore.

The corporation added that similar public-friendly measures will continue to be considered in the future to support tourism growth and improve visitor experiences across Punjab.
