Despite featuring for Chennai Super Kings in the 19th edition of the Indian Premier League, West Indies spinner Akeal Hosein has been closely following the action in the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League.
Hosein took note of a brief but impactful innings by South African all-rounder Dian Forrester, who scored 24 runs off just 11 deliveries for Rawalpindi Pindiz. The aggressive cameo included three consecutive sixes off Mohammad Nawaz of Multan Sultans.
Forrester’s innings came to an end when he was dismissed by Peter Siddle, caught by Nawaz, who had earlier been taken on aggressively by the 25-year-old batter. Despite Forrester’s late flourish and a half-century from veteran England batter Sam Billings, Rawalpindi Pindiz failed to register a win and remain winless in the ongoing tournament.

Hosein, who previously represented Quetta Gladiators in the PSL and is now part of Chennai Super Kings for the 2026 IPL season, praised Forrester’s fearless approach in the lower order.
In a video shared on his Instagram story, Hosein applauded the youngster’s confidence and ability to change momentum late in the innings.
Notably, Hosein and Forrester have previously played together for Joburg Super Kings in South Africa’s SA20 league.
