A woman has been taken into custody after allegedly opening fire outside the Beverly Hills mansion of global pop star Rihanna, sparking a major police response in one of Los Angeles’ most exclusive neighborhoods.
The singer, however, was not injured and remains safe, according to law enforcement sources.
The shooting incident reportedly occurred on Sunday afternoon when a woman, believed to be in her 30s, fired multiple gunshots from her vehicle toward Rihanna’s luxury residence.
Police officers arrived at the scene within minutes, detained the suspect, and secured the area.
Authorities confirmed that Rihanna was inside the house at the time of the alleged shooting but was not harmed. Investigators are still working to determine the motive behind the attack, and the suspect’s identity has not yet been made public.
It remains unclear whether Rihanna’s partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, or their children were present in the home during the incident.
Photos from the scene showed Beverly Hills police vehicles blocking the street, with officers sealing off the area using yellow tape as forensic teams examined the surroundings.
The heavy police presence alarmed residents in the otherwise quiet, high-security enclave.
Rihanna purchased the multi-million-dollar Beverly Hills mansion in 2021. The five-bedroom property is located on a private cul-de-sac and is protected by gated access, tall hedges, and advanced security, offering maximum privacy for the superstar.
The neighborhood is home to several other high-profile celebrities, including Mariah Carey and Madonna, making the incident particularly alarming.
Police say the investigation is ongoing, and officials have not yet confirmed what triggered the shooting near Rihanna’s home.
