Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government has fully digitized the process of issuing learner driving licenses for Light Transport Vehicles (LTV) and Heavy Transport Vehicles (HTV), enabling citizens to apply entirely online without visiting transport offices.
The digital system has been developed by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB) in collaboration with the Transport Directorate Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Transport and Mass Transit Department.
Learner Driving Licenses Now Available via Dastak App
Authorities have launched the service through the Dastak Mobile Application, allowing citizens to apply for learner licenses from the comfort of their homes.
Under the new system, applicants can obtain learner licenses for:

LTV and HTV transport vehicles

Tractors
-
Rickshaws
-
Road rollers
The process includes online biometric verification and electronic payment of fees, eliminating paperwork and long queues at transport offices.
Digital Certificate Issued After Online Verification
Once applicants complete all required steps, the learner driving license is issued in the form of a digital certificate, which can be accessed directly through the application. Officials said the system ensures secure verification while significantly reducing processing time.
Move Aimed at Transparency and Faster Public Services
According to provincial authorities, the initiative is part of a broader strategy to modernize public service delivery in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through digital platforms. The government says the move will:
