Lahore Qalandars have successfully retained explosive opener Fakhar Zaman for Rs. 7.95 crore during the ongoing 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) player auction at Lahore’s Expo Center.
The left-handed batter remains a key figure in Qalandars’ lineup, renowned for his aggressive batting style at the top of the order and his ability to dominate during the powerplay. His retention ensures stability in the team’s batting core as the franchise seeks to maintain a settled combination under the league’s revamped auction model.
With extensive experience in high-pressure T20 matches and a proven record of match-winning performances, Fakhar Zaman continues to be a cornerstone of Lahore’s strategy heading into PSL 11.
The retention follows Lahore Qalandars’ acquisition of pace spearhead Haris Rauf for Rs. 7.60 crore, who impressed in the 2025/26 Big Bash League (BBL 15) as one of the tournament’s leading wicket-takers.
Other major moves in the PSL 11 auction include Rawalpindi signing Naseem Shah for Rs. 8.65 crore, Sialkot Stallionz securing Sahibzada Farhan for Rs. 5.70 crore, and Karachi Kings adding Pakistan T20 captain Salman Ali Agha for Rs. 5.85 crore, highlighting the intense competition among franchises to build strong squads for the upcoming season.
