Senate Panel Proposes Major Changes to CSS Exam

The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has changed the conduct of compulsory papers for the CSS Competitive Examination starting from 2026.

According to a public notice issued by the FPSC, the commission has decided that it will conduct only one compulsory paper per day for the CSS Competitive Examination 2026 and onwards. Previously, the FPSC conducted two compulsory papers in a single day.

The notice said the decision aims to facilitate candidates and ensure the smooth conduct of the examination.

The FPSC said it will upload a detailed examination timetable separately. The commission advised candidates to regularly visit the FPSC website for further updates.

The public notice was issued from Islamabad on December 17, 2025, and was signed by Zafar Abbas Memon, Director (CE) of the Federal Public Service Commission.
