PCB Grants NOCs to Nine Players in the BPL

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has okayed No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for nine national players to feature in the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

According to the board, the permits will remain valid until January 23, 2026. The group includes prominent names such as Mohammad Nawaz, Faheem Ashraf, and Sahibzada Farhan.

Others cleared to take part in the league are Hussain Talat, Ihsanullah, Haider Ali, Abrar Ahmed, Khwaja Nafay, and Salman Irshad.

Names of the players

Here’s a list of Pakistani players cleared to take part in the upcoming BPL season:

Mohammad Nawaz Faheem Ashraf Abrar Ahmed
Sahibzada Farhan Hussain Talat Haider Ali
Salman Irshad Ihsanullah Khawaja Nafay

Schedule of BPL

The BPL is scheduled to run from December 26 to January 24. It is also worth noting that Pakistan is set to tour Sri Lanka for a three-match T20I series, with the matches scheduled to be played on January 7, January 9, and January 11.

The PCB has likely issued conditional NOCs that require players to return for national duty during the upcoming T20I series. Similar conditions were applied to Pakistani players featuring in Australia’s Big Bash League, including Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Shadab Khan, Haris Rauf, and Shaheen Afridi, all of whom must prioritise international commitments.

Cricket Australia has asked the PCB to allow these players to remain available for the BBL. In response, the PCB has pushed for an expansion of Australia’s tour of Pakistan, proposing a five-match T20I series.
