Samsung has officially expanded the One UI 8.5 beta rollout to the United States, allowing Galaxy S25 users to test the company’s newest software based on Android 16. The beta had earlier gone live in Europe and South Korea.
The first One UI 8.5 beta update is now available for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra in the US. The update carries firmware version S93xU1UEU7ZYL8, weighs around 1.3GB, and includes the December 2025 security patch.
At the moment, the beta is limited to unlocked variants only. Samsung has confirmed that the program does not extend to the Galaxy S25 Edge or Galaxy S25 FE for now.
Users already registered in the beta program can head to:
Settings > Software update > Download and install
After downloading, tapping “Install now” will begin the process, and the phone will restart automatically.
