The hearing of the petition filed against the restrictions imposed on the removal of the name of former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif from the Exit Control List (ECL), was scheduled for today (Wednesday) at the Lahore High Court (LHC), had to be canceled due to the absence of Justice Syed Shahbaz Ali Rizvi, one of the judges of a two-member judge, who is on leave.

The hearing has also been postponed indefinitely.

The petition was filed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who is also Nawaz’s brother, and the last hearing was held on January 20, 2020.

It is worth noting that the LHC granted the former prime minister permission to travel to the United Kingdom for treatment on November 16, 2019.
