Why PCB send suspension notice to Multan Sultans?

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has suspended Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Multan Sultans after issuing a formal notice of termination over an alleged breach of contract.

The decision reportedly follows recent statements made by Multan Sultans’ owner, Ali Tareen, criticising PCB policies — remarks which, sources claim, triggered the disciplinary action.

The franchise has been served a notice of suspension and a termination warning for violating contractual terms. PCB sources say the move comes amid concerns over the franchise’s compliance with league regulations.

According to insiders, the termination notice has been formally sent to Multan Sultans. The PCB has warned that if the dispute is not resolved amicably, the board will move forward with finding a new franchise owner before the 11th edition of the PSL.

The development has created a wave of uncertainty around the team’s participation in future tournaments.
