Tandoor owners across Rawalpindi and Islamabad have unanimously increased the prices of roti, naan, and paratha, ignoring official price regulations.
Residents of the twin cities are voicing frustration as the local administration remains silent over the unauthorised hikes.
According to reports, roti, which previously cost Rs15, is now being sold for Rs20, while the price of naan has risen from Rs25 to Rs30.
The cost of kulcha has jumped from Rs30 to Rs40, and paratha, once sold for Rs50, is now priced at Rs60.

Locals complain that despite these arbitrary increases, the district administrations of both cities have yet to take action against tandoor owners.
Many citizens argue that the unchecked price manipulation is adding to the financial strain already caused by inflation and rising food costs.
