Right during the tensest moments of Saturday’s National Assembly (NA) session, when sloganeering and rowdy behavior were expected from both sides of the divide, the government, and the opposition, and it was feared that voting on the no-trust motion would be further delayed, two scenes surprised many.
Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Saad Rafique were seen gossiping in a corner of the assembly building, attracting not only the attention of fellow MNAs but also the media, which flashed their images on television screens.
Fawad approached Saad and began conversing with him, completely unaware of the situation.
Similarly, Khalid Magsi of the opposition benches met with Federal Minister for Aviation Ghulam Sarwar Khan.
