PIA plane makes emergency landing at Jinnah International Airport

Pakistan International Airlines’ (PIA) Boeing-777 plane made an emergency landing at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport minutes after departing from Lahore Airport on Saturday.

The flight from Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport to Jeddah was carrying 300 passengers when the plane’s windscreen cracked.

The captain of the plane made contact with the Karachi Control Tower and requested an emergency landing at Karachi Airport.

The PIA flight PK-759 carried over 300 passengers.

Additionally, PIA announced plans to begin flights between Faisalabad and Skardu, Gilgit Baltistan, following Eidul Fitr.

Economy class tickets between Faisalabad and Skardu will cost between Rs11,680 and Rs18,430, while executive economy base fares will range between Rs20,810 and Rs23,200.
