Two police officers were shot and killed on Saturday in Bannu’s Jani Khel neighbourhood.
Both officers’ funeral prayers were offered at the Police Lines in the presence of the District Police Officer (DPO) of Bannu Imran Shahid and other officers, police personnel, and relatives of both officers.
According to police, unknown assailants managed to flee the crime scene after opening fire on the cops.
Constable Farman Ullah and Operator Latif were shot at by attackers who had their faces covered.
Police search teams conducted raids in an attempt to apprehend the attackers.
Following the funerals, the remains of both martyred police officers were transferred to their ancestral villages of Bajki Jani Khel and Machi Jani Khel for burial.
