Salman Khan injured while shooting ‘Battle of Galwan’ in Ladakh.

Renowned Bollywood superstar Salman Khan reportedly sustained an injury while filming Battle of Galwan in the freezing region of Ladakh.

He will begin shooting the second part of this action drama film in Mumbai next week. This section of the production will centre on emotional scenes and fast-paced action sequences.

A production insider said the Ladakh shoot was difficult. According to the source, “Salman Khan and the crew shot at sub-10 degrees in Ladakh. Despite dealing with physical injuries and low oxygen levels, Salman powered through the extreme conditions.”

The team spent 45 days filming dramatic and action scenes in real locations, with Salman on set for 15 of those days. He’s taking a brief break to recover from minor injuries before continuing in Mumbai.

The Mumbai schedule, directed by Apoorva Lakhia, will feature some of the film’s most emotional scenes, delving deeper into the story. The release date for Battle of Galwan has not yet been announced, but the producers should do so soon.

In July, Salman Khan shared a motion poster for Battle of Galwan, depicting him in a fierce pose with a bloodied face, thick moustache, and determined eyes against a backdrop of military tension and patriotism.

The film, directed by Apoorva Lakhia, is based on the 2020 Galwan Valley conflict between India and China, which was fought at over 15,000 feet above sea level without using any bullets.

The film aims to demonstrate courage and patriotism. Salman will star alongside Chitrangda Singh. The actor has also confirmed that a sequel to his hit Bajrangi Bhaijaan is in the works.
