Ticket prices for the highly anticipated Asia Cup clash between Pakistan and India, scheduled for Sunday, September 14, have been decreased due to lower-than-expected demand.
The Asia Cup has begun, with the high-profile fixture between the arch-rivals set to take place this weekend. Despite the hype and importance of the match, ticket sales have reportedly remained below projections.
475 dirhams to 350 dirhams
For that reason, the cost of each ticket has been reduced from 475 dirhams to 350 dirhams.
Earlier on Wednesday, India defeated the United Arab Emirates by nine wickets at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in the second match of the Asia Cup.
According to details, India had bowled first after winning the toss and dismissed the UAE for a modest total of 57 runs in 13.1 overs.
India’s bowlers shared the wickets, with Kuldeep Yadav taking four, Shivam Dube three, and Jasprit Bumrah and Varun Chakravarthy one each.
UAE’s innings never gained momentum, losing wickets regularly. Opener Alishan Sharafu top-scored with 22 runs from 17 balls. Captain Muhammad Waseem contributed 19 before falling lbw to Kuldeep Yadav.
India chased the target comfortably, reaching 60 for one in 4.3 overs. Abhishek Sharma led the charge with a quick 30 runs from 16 balls, including two fours and three sixes, before being caught off Junaid Siddique. Shubman Gill remained unbeaten on 20 from nine deliveries.
Captain Suryakumar Yadav was also not out on seven.
India’s innings was marked by aggressive stroke play, easing the pressure of the small target. The team demonstrated control and power throughout the chase.
