Members of the Jahangir Khan Tareen group met today in Lahore for talks and to review PML-Q leader Pervez Elahi’s nomination as Punjab’s next chief minister.
Jahangir Tareen, the dissident leader of the PTI, will address his group members through video links.
The unhappy group members previously agreed that the final decision would be made only after meetings with the group’s supremo — Jahangir Khan Tareen.
On Monday afternoon, the ruling PTI surprised everyone by nominating Parvez Elahi for the position of provincial chief executive. The nomination clears the air over Usman Buzdar, who was requested to resign as Punjab Chief Minister.
Farrukh Habib’s tweet with the title “all concerns have been resolved between government and PML-Q as the latter promised to support the government on opposition no-confidence move” made the reveal.
