PCB unveils women’s central contract list with revamped pay structure.

In a major boost for women’s cricket in Pakistan, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced its latest central contract list for the 2025-26 season, with a renewed focus on both elite performers and emerging talent.

The new contracts also feature a significant 50% increase in retainers across all categories, underlining the PCB’s efforts to reward the women’s team for their achievements.

The contract cycle, running from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026, covers 20 players split across five categories — A through E.

This announcement arrives at a crucial time, with Pakistan’s women’s team set to feature in two ICC global events: the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup (September–October 2025) and the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup (June 2026), along with a packed schedule of bilateral series.

Captain Fatima Sana, wicketkeeper-batter Muneeba Ali, Sidra Amin, and T20I’s top-ranked bowler Sadia Iqbal have been awarded the top category.

Meanwhile, the PCB has introduced a new Category E, designed specifically to nurture emerging talent. Eyman Fatima and top-order batter Shawaal Zulfiqar are the inaugural recipients.
