Two new interchanges approved to link Ravi riverfront with major motorways.

The federal government has approved the construction of two new interchanges to improve access between the Ravi Riverfront Urban Development Project (RRUDP) and surrounding motorways.

The decision came during a high-level meeting chaired by Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan at the National Highway Authority (NHA) regional office.

The meeting focused on aligning the Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) master plan with national highway infrastructure.

According to RUDA officials, the approved interchanges will be constructed on the Lahore-Sialkot Motorway (LSM) Eastern Bypass and Motorway M-2 to provide direct connectivity to Ravi City.

The communications minister also instructed concerned departments to expedite work on both projects to ensure timely development.

The meeting was attended by Federal Secretary for Communications Ali Sher Mehsud, NHA Chairman Shehryar Sultan, RUDA CEO Imran Amin, COO (retd.) Brig Mansoor Janjua, Executive Director (Engineering) Abdul Waheed Khan, and other senior officials.
