A short yet sarcastic honest resignation letter has taken social media by storm, offering a humorous glimpse into the workplace realities of today’s job market.
The viral letter, allegedly penned by a man named Dayitva Shah, was shared on LinkedIn by Shubham Gane, the founder and CEO of Hinglish, a Mumbai-based content company. In it, the employee simply wrote:
“Hi Sir,
Mai Bik Gaya,
Samne wali Company 4 paisa Jada de Rahi hai.
Regards,
Dayitva Shah.”
(Translation: Hi Sir, I’ve sold out. The other company is offering four paise more.)
Gane, who shared the screenshot with a light-hearted caption, praised the candidness of the note and labelled it as “an honest resignation”.

The post has since gone viral, garnering widespread attention and sparking a wave of amusing reactions.
Many users on LinkedIn and X (formerly Twitter) lauded the employee’s straightforwardness. “At least he told the truth. No corporate jargon. Just facts,” one user commented. Another jokingly suggested how a manager might respond: “Okay, let me know if there’s any vacancy there.”
