Jamaat Islami skips NA session

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has opted to remain neutral in the opposition’s no-confidence move against the prime minister and has also decided to skip Friday’s National Assembly session.

According to reports, JI MNA Abdul Akbar Chitrali did not attend the opposition parties’ meeting in Parliament House prior to the National Assembly session as part of his party’s stance.

Three other Opposition legislators were also absent from Friday’s session. Because Ali Wazir was in prison and a PPP lawmaker was on a foreign tour, he was unable to attend the session.
