Qasai Rates in Lahore, Karachi & Islamabad for Eid ul Adha 2025.

As Eid ul Azha 2025 comes close, people across Pakistan are preparing for the religious ritual of animal sacrifice in memory of Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S).

With just one day left, many families are now finalizing their Qurbani plans. While some will sacrifice animals on their own, many others are booking butchers for the job.

This year, both animal and Qasai (butcher) rates have increased sharply. The rise in animal prices has also affected the cost of hiring skilled butchers.

According to local sources, experienced Qasais are charging between Rs18,000 and Rs25,000 to slaughter cows or bulls.

The final cost usually depends on the size and weight of the animal.

Updated Butcher Rates for Eid ul Azha 2025

Here’s a breakdown of the rates this year:

Animal Day 1 Day 2 Day 3
Cow/Bull Rs25,000 Rs20,000 Rs15,000 – Rs18,000
Goat/Sheep Rs6,000 – Rs8,000 Rs6,000 – Rs7,000 Rs5,000 – Rs6,000

Camel slaughtering is the most expensive this year. Charges range from Rs35,000 to Rs40,000, depending on location and Qasai experience.

Due to a shortage of professional butchers, many people turn to non-professional or part-time butchers.

These butchers charge less, but their skills and hygiene standards often fall short.

The average price for a cow or bull slaughtered by a non-professional Qasai is Rs10,000 to Rs14,000, while goats or sheep cost Rs3,000 to Rs4,000.

Rising Costs Affect Qurbani Planning

This year’s price hike has made it difficult for many families to manage the expenses of Eid. Some are teaming up with relatives or neighbors to share the cost of a cow.

Others are booking butchers early to avoid paying extra during the last-minute rush.

Authorities have also advised the public to hire only trained and hygienic butchers to ensure safety and cleanliness during the holy festival.
