‘Son of Sardar’ actor Mukul Dev dies at 54.

Indian actor Mukul Dev, known for his iconic roles in Bollywood, Punjabi, and South Indian films as well as Indian dramas, has passed away at the age of 54.

His friend and fellow actor Vindu Dara Singh confirmed the news, sharing that Dev died on Friday night in a New Delhi hospital after a prolonged illness.

Although the exact cause of death remains unknown, reports suggest Dev had been unwell for several days and spent over a week hospitalized.

Singh shared that Dev had withdrawn from public life following his parents’ deaths, rarely leaving the house or meeting friends.

“His health deteriorated in the last few days, and he was in the hospital,” Singh said.

Expressing his condolences, Singh wrote on social media: “Rest in peace, my brother #MukulDev! The time spent with you will always be cherished and #SonOfSardaar2 will be your swansong where you will spread joy and happiness to the viewers and make them fall down laughing!”

Dev is survived by his 24-year-old daughter, Sia. His fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry mourn the loss of a talented and kind-hearted artist.
