A gas crisis has hit the port city of Karachi, with residents experiencing extreme difficulties due to a lack of gas supply around mealtimes.
Lyari, Baldia Town, Orangi Town, Saddar, DHA, Punjab Colony, Moosa Colony, Hijrat Colony, Sultanabad, Landhi, Malir, Korangi, and Faqeer Colony are some of the places in Karachi that are experiencing severe gas shortages and poor gas pressure.
Gas supply has been disrupted on a regular basis in the morning and evening meal times, causing a major economic challenge for Karachi residents.
People rush to the neighborhood restaurants for breakfast early in the morning because they have no other option owing to the continuous gas issue.
According to media reports, despite a deteriorating gas crisis in practically all of Karachi, residents have turned to an “illegal” method of increasing gas pressure in their stoves by installing an air-pump gadget that works on electricity.
Gas theft, according to the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC), includes installing a device to boost gas pressure.
